Spring is in the air and the fundraising for the Pineapple Project is warming up. The great news is that Edward Gostling Foundation and Garfield Weston Foundation have come on board, both awarding generous grants to the project. This means that we have now surpassed our original fundraising target of £1.5 million and we are very grateful indeed for their support.
This target was set back in late 2019 when the world felt to many of us like a rather less complicated place. Since then global events have meant the architectural plans for the basement have needed to be updated in response to Covid-19 safety requirements, and there has been a steep increase in building costs. As a result the fundraising target for the Pineapple Project has risen to £1.7 million. £160,000 remains to be found and we continue our efforts with trust and determination.
