We are delighted and grateful to have received a generous grant from Ascot Priory towards the Pineapple Project. In addition, City Bridge Trust have granted a cost of living uplift to their previous grant. Along with further generous individual donations from both neighbours are our congregation – which lift our spirits each time – we are getting closer to our goal.
As the site closes for the Christmas break, the vast majority of the opening up works have now been concluded. The structure of the works are taking shape with the steelwork for the new walkway and gallery installed. The steelwork to the ground floor has also been installed ready for the timberwork and flooring – which will then enable the steelwork to the first floor to be removed. All being well, work to make the building watertight and progress the fit out will begin in the second half of January.
